The Sustainable Communities Plan, launched in February 2003, set out an ambitious and challenging programme of action for creating prosperous, inclusive and sustainable communities. The summit will set a vision for the future and create opportunities for both developing and sharing best practice as well as provide a platform to work with experts from the public, voluntary and private sectors. Organised by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the summit will be attended by over 2,000 delegates, including Government Ministers and leading national and international experts.
